HTM Hospital Signs
Health technical memorandum (HTM) safety signs were first introduced to outline the use of escape route signage on NHS estates. These signs under HTM 65 were initially specified to encourage consistency of escape route signage in all NHS sites, forging an identity for these healthcare areas, regardless of where you are in the UK. Thus, managing the NHS risk assessment requirements, and health and safety regulations. The wayfinding document released in 2021 and supersedes the HTM 65 specifications. However, JALITE photoluminescent HTM signage still conforms to the specifications in the released document, as all our signage is consistent and conforms to symbols in BS EN ISO 7010. Our signs also conform to BS 5499-4 for supplementary arrows to accompany text of the escape route signs, fire exit and exit safety signs. JALITE photoluminescent safety signs characterised by text, running man figure, flame determinant and supplementary arrows are available now in various sizes.
