DDA information
The Equality Act 2010 specifies that organisations ensure adequate consideration has been taken for those who are impaired in any way. This includes those with visual, hearing and mobility difficulties, as well as those with mental health difficulties. In an emergency evacuation situation, these persons may need additional assistance to evacuate.
Often this assistance comes in a form of alerting those trained to provide first aid, help persons that are impaired evacuate the building, or use other specialised safety equipment like evacuation chairs. JALITE photoluminescent disability assistance safety signs are installed so that these persons can call for help when necessary. JALITE photoluminescent disability assistance call point safety signs are designed with graphical symbols for the call point and mobility impaired person as seen in BS EN ISO 7010:2020.
